PCS Ltd was born out of a significant life change made by Rob and Dan who both found themselves working in a care home part time, whilst they considered what they wanted their future business to look like. Robert Craig had worked in property for 20 years, project managing builds for various HNW individuals including celebrities. Daniel Bevins had worked in retail for 20 years becoming an executive working as a head of retail across London and America for well known fashion brands.
On the back of the 2020 pandemic, both Robert and Daniel decided not to return to their previous posts, made considerable lifestyle changes and both being parents, wanted to spend more time with their children. Fate brought Daniel and Robert together temporarily working two days a week in a care home whilst they considered their futures as they knew they wanted a job and business with more purpose behind it. Both Robert and Daniel found caring for disabled and elderly residents rewarding, and indeed have a genuine, kind and common sense approach to supporting the residents happiness. Both feel passionate about what they are now doing and the purpose for which it serves. They encountered residents who would rather still be in their homes, and could be, if the right care package could be organised. It became clear that there is a distinct lack of home care available and certainly care that isn’t on the clock, but that is authentic, and provides an excellent service to what many clients would actually want to receive.
Daniel was asked to provide companionship once a week for an elderly acquaintance, providing company for a walk, to watch television with and simply put, be her friend as many people now find themselves isolated and alone at times. Robert was approached to see if he could provide support and research for a clients Aunt moving into a nursing home . This is when Daniel and Robert decided to be just one small part of filling a huge gap in caring and supporting people in their homes. From their previous careers in luxury retail and property, they believe in providing only the best possible service available to promote client happiness and satisfaction. They are reliable and strive to improve constantly. Both call upon life experience inclusive of being parents to deliver expert care directly, and train all team members to do the same, delivering only a service that they would be proud of taking responsibility for. Private care support LTD aims to provide compassionate, personalised, expert, adaptable and evolving care for each individual client and their families. PCS constantly and consistently seeks out feedback from our clients in order to continually improve services and ensure up to date knowledge and training of the team.
Both Robert and Daniel have undergone significant training inclusive of use of hoists and standing aids, stoma care, catheter care, dementia awareness, palliative care, continence care and are looking to provide such services from PCS in the future, on completion of their level 5 social care management qualification due to be completed in summer 2023. Both are CCS registered as social care workers and PVG certified.
